Imagi-Movies on @TCM for June, 2016

imagi-movies-JUNE

Greetings, Friends and Fiends!

Ye Olde Dragon here, bringing you the latest schedule for Imagi-Movies being aired by the good folks at Turner Classic Movies!

Hate to tell you Hatchlings, but we got spoiled with May’s AIP Spotlight. As we all know, for some reason, TCM lobs Sci-Fi films into their Horror category on their daily/weekly schedules. I also peruse the other categories to double check for any other films that use special effects or have fantasy elements, as many tend to fall into the Epic or Adventure lists. Occasionally there’s even a Musical or two included. Well, for the month of June, there were only a paltry EIGHTEEN films in the Horror/Sci-Fi column. Tsk tsk. C’mon TCM programming, you can give us a LITTLE more, no? Are we losing out because you started adding more films from the 1970s and 1980s to your lineups? If so, I cry FOUL! At any rate, here are this month’s offerings of Imagi-Movies being shown on TCM.

Please note that all times listed are Eastern Daylight Time and that the schedule is subject to change at TCM’s discretion.

Sorry folks. No real highlights to speak of this month.

There you have it, Guys and Ghouls. A rather trifling offering this month. I’m not sure yet how July is going to shape up, as not too much of the schedule has been posted. I’m not too enthusiastic unfortunately, because it seems like they have a rather abundant offering of Westerns next month. Keep in mind as well, that August will be the annual TCM Summer Under the Stars Festival which ordinarily means very little in the way of offerings.

In the meantime enjoy the beginning of summer, and congratulations to all the newest graduates.
… End of Line…
