Imagi-Movies on @TCM for May, 2016

Greetings, Friends and Fiends!

Ye Olde Dragon here, back after an extended hiatus. I do apologize Guys and Ghouls, as things have been a bit hectic in Ye Olde Dragon’s Den. No doubt, some of you may remember that for the past several months the old homestead has been undergoing renovations and refurbishment. Part of this was converting the rear half of our garage into an extension for myself. Well over the past few weeks, a bit more work is been done. The extension is currently framed and sheet rocked. We’ll be painting it sometime this week, and then the electric outlets will be finished and the floor will be done. I also have a huge hole in my wall covered by a plastic tarp where I once had a piece of furniture that was doubling as a workstation. Because I had to move everything around, there were periods of time when various components of my computer and my workflow were in different rooms.

So again I apologize for my absence and thank you for your patience. The next few weeks, and months, hopefully will see the beginning of the next evolutionary level of The Draconic Verses, as I venture into the realm of podcasting and video blogs. I certainly hope that you’ll stick around with me.

But enough of this! Let’s get to the real reason that you’re (hopefully) reading this post: the schedule for Imagi-Movies airing on Turner Classic Movies!

May Highlights:

Back at the end of February, I expressed a hope that we’re going to be seeing an Imagi-Movies filled summer on TCM. March (and as it turned out, April) was rather average. May certainly looks to be a bit better, especially with Thursday nights in May spotlighting the films of American International Pictures, yet we stay around the 40 film mark. Granted, there’ll be non Imagi-Movies in this mix, but we’re still talking fodder for both the #TCMParty AND #DriveInMob crowds!

The only other real highlight this month is on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, when TCM will be spotlighting time travel comedies. These films run the gamut from Roland Young as the titular MAN WHO COULD WORK MIRACLES (1936) to Woody Allen‘s SLEEPER (1973).

Please keep in mind that all times are EDT, and that any schedule changes are at TCM’s discretion.

TOTAL: 42 Films* showing on 18 dates

*- Total does not include Beach Party on 5/19/16. I’m including it here, as I’m hosting the #TCMParty for this film.

So we have an average month, and I have some bad news, hatchlings. June looks to be a bit of a drought. So it would seem that once more, our desire to have a return of the DRIVE-IN DOUBLE FEATURE nights has been dashed yet again. Hopefully we’ll have an upswing in July, especially with the Annual SUTS airing in August.

End of Line…
