That’s right! Everybody’s favorite Consulting Detective will be swapping his flat at 221B Baker Street for The Sanctum Sanctorum in Greenwich Village.
Ever since Marvel’s big Phase 3 announcement event, speculation has been running rampant about who would be playing Stephen Strange, with names like Joaquin Phoenix and Luke Evans being bandied about. Cumberbatch’s name was also among those that fans were waiting to hear.
Having played Kahn in the second installment of JJ Abrams’ STAR TREK reboot and the Dragon Smaug in Peter Jackson‘s HOBBIT Trilogy, he’s more than cut his chops in Imagi-Movies roles.
I for one, am quite enthusiastic with this announcement! Having always been a diehard DR. STRANGE fan, I’m looking forward to this movie more than ever, perhaps even more so than any of the other forthcoming Marvel offerings over the next five years.
